Christian education classes and opportunities are offered throughout the year at Trinity and are open for all to attend. Below you will find our current class offerings.
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL
SUNDAYS @ 10:30 AM
(except 2nd Sunday)
Children, pre-K through 12 yrs, learn key stories from the Old and New Testaments and explore the church’s liturgy through play in a warm, loving, and safe environment. Children return to the sanctuary after the sermon to participate in the Lord’s Supper. On the 2nd Sunday of every month from September through May, a "Messy Church" service is held especially for families with kids at 9:00AM. See Messy Church page in WORSHIP drop-down menu.
It is often said that you can believe anything you want and still be an Episcopalian. Is this a fair statement? What are the sources of authority that Episcopalians use to develop belief? Come explore how scripture, tradition, reason, and experience help shape Episcopal theology. These classes are especially helpful to people who are new to the church. The sessions are generally held on Sundays at 9:15 AM each October.
SUNDAYS @ 9:30 AM
We offer different series of bible study opportunities throughout the year, some led by Father Jon Stratton, and some by lay leaders. The curriculum changes several times each year and the content is announced in the bulletin and eTimes newsletter.
THEOLOGY ON TAP
FIRST TUESDAYS @ 6:30PM
at Dressel's Pub in the CWE
Theology on Tap seeks to create a “low pressure” environment for conversations about faith, ethics, politics, and life today. Join us and bring friends. Theology on Tap meets upstairs at Dressel’s Pub (419 N, Euclid in the CWE) at 6:30 pm on the First Tuesday of each month.
Confirmation is the religious rite in which baptized Christians make a mature and public deceleration of their faith and receive the laying on of bands by the bishop.
Confirmation is the normative means through which Christians from other denominations join the Episcopal church and also serves as an opportunity for young people to affirm and claim their faith.
Confirmation classes are held every year during the season of Lent (late Winter/early Spring) and are required for those seeking confirmation. These classes are educational, spiritual, and formative.
